Craig Polston Claims Four Medals at 2010 Empire Games
Congratulations to Craig Polston and the Western team for their strong performance at the 2010 Empire State Games in Buffalo, NY.  Western completely dominated the 4 days of racing, winning 10 out of a possible 11 medals.  Polston took Bronze on the opening day's 10-mile Individual Time Trial on Grand Island and collected a second Bronze on day three with a strong performance in the Criterium points-race in downtown East Aurora.  It was back to Grand Island on the final day of competition for the 40-mile Team Time Trial event.  Western took both Gold and Silver, with Western's B-Team (Craig Polston, Brendan Housler, Dan Barney, James Thompson, and Andy Lytwynec) claiming the Gold medal with a time of 1:16:32.  After four days of racing, the final points were tallied, and Western came out on top in the Overall Team competition, giving Polston his fourth medal.  Congratulations to Craig Polston and the Western team (Polston, Housler, Barney, Thompson, Lytwynec, Jay Joslyn, Todd Craig, Traci Cummings, Lance Johnson, Jose Alvergue, and Pat Merrick).
